Beyonce returns with ‘RENASSAINCE',’ Phoebe Green is ‘Crying in the Club,’ Tove Lo is a presence, Megan Thee Stallion is the one and only ‘Her,’ and Rigoberta Bandini adds some Spanish-language flair

Without a doubt I can say this has been the best year for dance music in the three years I’ve been doing Playlist Odyssey.

A large aspect of this is Beyonce’s heralded return to the music world with her triumphant “RENASSIANCE.” Easily, the best dance album of 2022, with easily an argument to be made that it could be AOTY.

But regardless of Beyonce’s presence, the album releases of ROSALIA, Phoebe Green, Tove Lo, Grace Ives and Charli XCX bolstered 2022’s presence. Add stellar singles by the likes of Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion and Sabrina Carpenter, 2022 was a year to dance!

Of all my playlists, Get Up, Dance has been such a concrete year. 2023, you have a lot to hold yourself up to!!!!

Bye!
